Presentations are now available from IRM’s Risk Leaders’ Conference, held on 16 November at the Hilton Paddington in London.
The event was a great success with over 150 delegates in attendance.
Currently we have presentations from Bridget Rosewell, John Pickup and Justin Skinner. To download the “What makes a great Risk Manager?” research report presented by Peter Robertshaw from Active Risk visit http://www.activerisk.com/risksurvey/
The rest of the presentations will be added to this website shortly.
The conference opened with a presentation from facilitator Anthony Hilton about the lessons to be learned in risk management and governance from the misfortunes of News Corporation and other crisis hit organisations.
Journalist and Broadcaster Paul Mason then spoke about “Twenty reasons why it is all kicking off everywhere”, mentioning the phenomenal rise of social media and the fact that graduates now find it so hard to find work.
There then followed breakout sessions from Alan Cleary, Peter Robertshaw and Chris Hodge / Jonathan Hunt.
After lunch a question time panel of seven answered questions on the subject of Risk Appetite and Tolerance, referring to IRM’s recent guidance paper on the subject.
This was followed by a second round of breakout sessions from Jed Turnbull, Justin Skinner and Jonathan Reuvid / John Pickup.
The final presentation was given by Bridget Rosewell on “How do you assess external circumstances in an uncertain world? Perspectives of a non-executive director”.
